About Margaret

I’m a digital pop culture strategist and emerging multiplayer game designer. I pride myself on also being a generalist and have worked in tech, design, politics, business and most recently was in the Vanity Fair newsroom, amplifying and defining brand voice on Instagram and TikTok! I’ve directed strategy in everything from Facebook page video to direct partnerships with Twitter to Instagram and TikTok content strategy and am most excited when speaking directly to emerging audiences.

—- CURRENTLY: I'm available for contract or salaried work! Be sure to also check out the game I’m working on: Trinkets!, available out on Steam now.

—- SUMMARY: I was most recently an associate director for Vanity Fair, working under Condé Nast Entertainment. I led social video development and production for the magazine and worked with A-list actors and musicians, as well as behind-the-scenes costume designers and other personnel. As a K-pop fanatic, I also produced and led research for K-pop videos for the brand. I grew the brand's TikTok audience to 1M followers in a year.

Previously, I was a social media editor at The Wall Street Journal where I grew the Instagram account from 1.5M to 3.7M followers. I produced videos with reporters, athletes, CEOs, musicians, and other celebrities. I also featured on WSJ's Women In newsletter. I also founded The Avocado Dream, an Instagram magazine which calculates home prices in terms of avocado toasts for Curbed, a Vox Media (now New York Magazine) brand. I've been interviewed by Digiday and Nieman Lab as an expert in Instagram strategy.
